Most Beautiful Girl South-South Nigeria (MBGSSN) is more than a beauty pageant. It is a purpose-driven platform created to celebrate the beauty, intelligence, culture, resilience, and limitless potential of young women from Nigeria’s South-South region.
Representing the rich heritage of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, and Rivers States, MBGSSN provides a meaningful platform where beauty meets purpose, culture meets opportunity, and young women are empowered to become confident leaders, entrepreneurs, advocates, and ambassadors for their communities.
Through the pageant, we aim to discover and develop young women who can use their voices and influence to champion causes that matter, promote the rich cultural heritage of the South-South region, encourage tourism and economic development, and inspire the next generation of girls to dream bigger.

We create a pageant platform that develops women of substance, influence, and purpose. MBGSSN is designed to create opportunities that extend far beyond the competition itself. Through leadership development, mentorship, media exposure, entrepreneurship, community engagement, and personal development, our goal is to ensure that every contestant leaves the experience more confident, more equipped, and better prepared for the future.

She builds the platform she believes South-South women deserve — beauty with purpose, heritage with a future.
At the heart of MBGSSN is Mbong Sule, an accomplished Nigerian actress, filmmaker, entrepreneur, project manager, and media personality whose career has been shaped by creativity, entertainment, leadership, and enterprise.
Mbong’s journey in pageantry began in 2003, when she was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Akwa Ibom. In 2004, she went on to represent Akwa Ibom at the prestigious Miss Nigeria pageant, competing for the national crown and emerging as 2nd Runner-Up.
Her experience as a contestant and titleholder gave her firsthand insight into the transformative power of pageantry — and the responsibility that comes with wearing a crown and representing a people, a culture, and a community.
That early experience became one of the foundations of her journey in the years that followed. Mbong went on to build an accomplished career in film and entertainment, working as an actress and filmmaker while developing extensive experience in storytelling, production, media, talent, and creative direction.
As an entrepreneur, she has also built and developed Southern Girl Co., a growing lifestyle and hospitality brand that brings together food, culture, creativity, and the celebration of the modern African woman.
Her journey across pageantry, film, media, entrepreneurship, branding, project management, and creative production has given her a unique understanding of how to build platforms that are not only commercially viable, but culturally relevant and capable of creating lasting impact.
Most Beautiful Girl South-South Nigeria is the coming together of these experiences. It is Mbong’s vision to create the kind of platform she believes the next generation of South-South women deserve — one that recognizes beauty while developing character, confidence, leadership, cultural pride, entrepreneurial thinking, and purpose.
With MBGSSN, she is bringing her journey full circle: from wearing the crown herself to creating a platform that gives other young women the opportunity to discover their voices, embrace their heritage, and step confidently into their future.
